I may be living in a dream.

Stress. Stress. Stress. Stress.

The boy and I took a hot, after school run. I did all right until we passed three miles, then it felt like my body was on fire. I exaggerate. I became overheated. But it was a well-needed release after a difficult day.

Route: Forest Hill Loop

Running just as fast as we can.

My Favorite Thing Is Monsters
We emerge from another cold period. I've been busy. The days are all right, the nights even better. I have been taking melatonin pretty regularly and I sleep deep and dream big dreams. But I also need to nap a couple times a day.

Yes, I need to nap a couple times a day. I think I am going to back up off the melatonin for a little bit, until I find I need it again.

Also, part of a crown broke off earlier this week, which blows. It's not an emegerncy. Just a fake tooth. But it's a drag. Makes me feel old.

We're going out together, husband and wife, for a walk/run through the park. Isn't that something?

Mud on your face.

My right thigh muscle has been singing with irritation, like it does when I am overweight. Like a pinched nerve or something. It's not painful, it just feels stupid. Like I said, irritating.

You're gonna burn.

The other day, on the bike path, with my son, I thought, "I am so glad I am running." I was aware of it. No pain. It was free. It wasn't arduous. I was back in that place. I won't always be in that place.

Hot, sunny day! I had to walk twice. It's challening, I hope to some day be able to push through in this kind of weather. Water would help.

Now I just gotta follow through.

Homework.
Another day in paradise. I did a lot of homework bt still had the chance to visit iin-laws and cousins and have an indulgent dinner at Little Fish. And I could not stand the idea of not getting a second run in before we left. I have no idea how soon we will be back.

Maybe sooner than later, that is a distinct possibility.

I can go home to Jesus.

Spening the weekend in Athens. It was chilly yesterday, but today seemed like a good day to hit the path. The bed we're sleeping on is firmer than I am accustomed to, and it's actually affecting my hips.

Normally this would be a time of peaceful reflection, but between the girl's impending university decision, my load of coursework and pandemic anxiety (oh, I could say so much about that) it hardly feels like I am resting.

Distance: 4.25 miles
Duration: 40:55
Pace: 9:34
Route: Hocking River Bike Path
Temperature: 61°
Climate: sunny & warm
Mood: good

Three of us headed out to the bike path, the wife has been exercising and is working on a walk/run regimen. At the same time, the boy and I ran out two miles and back two miles. He wanted us to pick up speed but I reminded him what I need is to go farher without stopping to walk, which we did.

The bike path was swarming with people, there are a surprising number of families in town for the Easter weekend. We ran with masks which we would take down when we had a long break in people.
