I know I'm a bit too intimate.

No, David!
Read all the way to the bottom for a special video.

So busy! So much homework! And work work! But I've got too exercise!

And stop eating so much! I am back in the "whatever" zone and I need to break out of it.

Truth is, eating is a great way to procrastinate, and I am seriously pushing back against my responsibilities. More podcasts and chores, fewer sandwiches and nuts.

I will resume recording my diet. It's the best way to check myself.

Duration: 30:59

I don't ask for much.

Happy President's Day! I'm not dead.

Hella busy, though. Also, two things: the snow came in hard and heavy and there's nowhere to run. And the gym (apparently, I have not been) has maximized space by setting the machines onto the track.

This past week I have been possessed by consumption. This weekend was unbearable, as I was hyperaware of how much food and junk I was eating. Anxious and bored, I imagine, though not seriously anxious. I rationalized that I was eating as a stimulus or reward to keep going ... of course, making a bowl of something means I will sit at a table to eat it and I can't work like that so I just do a crossword puzzle, anyway.

The gum helps. Big machine of Xylotol gum. My teeth have never been stronger. Seriously, even the dentist says so.

So, here we go. Sunny skies and clear(ish) pavement for a couple days before more winter weather. Wish me luck.

Distance: 3.1 miles
Duration: 32:47
Pace: 10:34
Route: Forest Hill Loop
Temperature: 54°
Climate: warm!
Mood: good
Weight: 187 lbs.

Yes, the bad news is I gained eight pounds. The good news is I think I gained it all just yesterday.

Gear: windbreaker, winter hat, gloves, shorts

My phone lied to me. LIED to me. I double check it, sometimes it needs to refresh. But it still said forty-seven. This was not the case, and I was overdressed. Not complaining, I LOVE RUNNING.

Intake
Breakfast: coffee (3x)
Lunch: french toast, butter, syrup, bacon (2 slices), banana
Tea time: tea, cheese bun
Snack: apple
Dinner: chcken paprikash

It was not my intention to have french toast for lunch. I was going to have a salad or something. But the boy made french toast, so what are you gonna do?

I have tried marijuana, I get nervous every time.

This is 53.
We are maintaining. My homework has been dense, hard to read, both in text and also its image in the form of scanned PDFs. My sight is becoming an issue.

Running in the dark can hurt my back, if I do not know or misjudge where my foot is going to fall. This did not used to be a problem, but then I did not used to have back problems.

Anyway, good morning.

Distance: 3.3 miles
Duration: 31:08
Pace: 9:25
Route: Boulevard Loop
Temperature: 61°
Climate: cool
Mood: all right
Weight: 171 lbs. (+1.0)

Now it is cool. Early runs can be dangerous for other reasons, too. Unwise dinner choice led to intestinal distress, let's just say that.

Intake
Breakfast: coffee (2x), banana, doughnut
Lunch: mushroom stew over rice, peach, Oreos (2)
Happy hour: Guinness, M&Ms
Dinner: Salad w/spicy chicken

Striving hard not to snack during rehearsal. We maintain, we maintain. This is the time of year year when I begin gaining weight. Can we flip that? For the sake of consistency?

Work the body work work the body.

Not a bad office.

For your information, exercise is also a form of homework. Trying to do my job and my studies have kept me off the pavement, which is not a good thing. The weather is perfect, even if the world is not. Get out in it.

Spending a holiday weekend in Athens. Mom's boyfriend spent the night last night, a small family gathering and one which was greatly needed. I have not been here since Christmas.
