Things are going to get easier.

"New" music from De La. Our reliance on streaming services means that we do not have ready access to all of our twelve inches, extended remixes and B-sides. I am grateful that De La Soul has continued to roll out non-LP tracks from the past

Son of a gun.

Man. Looking over from when I started this blog. I had plantar warts. Those plagued me for the better part of five years. That was horrible. Thought those would last forever.

Then shin splints. I was told those would also never go away. But they do. The body has a tremendous capacity for change, for healing.

No, two drinks last night was not necessary. Not advisable.

1973 Playlist
Can the Can - Suzi Quatro
You're So Vain - Carly Simon

I think I figured it out, why I choose lists from the early 70s or late 60s for short runs. The music is excellent, to be sure. But they do not inspire nostalgia, I have no memories associated with them. So they are just music, and not memory.

Spotify not being helpful with my this morning, so I found a "1973 Number Ones" mix on YouTube, and found two new songs to add to my lists ("You're So Vain" was released in 1972).

What will be on my final playlist of this cycle, the one for the year 2023?

Dress me in the fashions of the 19-8-80s.

Artist rendering.
What should have been an untroubled night's sleep became eventful for several reason, not least of which high drama in our neighborhood streets as someone who was not terribly happy let us all know of it. This was around two in the a.m.

I went to sleep with a headache and woke with one, but at least it has not interrupted my day (the head pain is gone) and I am doing homework and housework and considering a run at the hottest part of the day. Why not? It has been a while since I've had a hot run.

Yes, hot runs can be fun ...until your phone stops streaming the tunes. Sigh. I have the premium service, I really should download the playlists.
