Yes, things are awful. Like, they are pretty bad. What would my father have made of this? People keep seeking saviors, eschewing collective action. What can I do? What am I effective at? Writing. I think that's what I need to do. Writing has saved us where brute force has not. And besides, I am not violent by nature.

I need to take pain reliever more often. It really helps. Also, I need to run more often. Even when I am not having a running day, and therefore a record, I have been (mostly) mindful about consumption. Portions, snack, etc.

We did go to a ballgame yesterday, where I have been enjoying two beers a game (which is a lot) and shared a thing of chicken tenders & fries, but even that wasn't overwhelming.
