Week 10 Total: 31 miles
Training to Date: 252 miles
So. The play is open. I am ten weeks into my training, eight more to the big race. There are several looming deadlines at work (there always are) and I have to finish cutting Henry VIII. There is a copy of The Handmaid's Tale sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. And I am toying with my version of iambic pentameter. Doors never close, they just lead to other open doors.
Distance: 4 miles
Route: Neighborhood loop
Last night I did a pathetic thing. Not sure I want to detail it, for the sake of the person involved, who is probably so used to such things that she barely notices them. But she probably does. I should have said something, not in sympathy, but to show I was listening, that I heard her, instead of nodding absently like everyone else.

I am curious to know what you mean by your version of iambic pentameter. To the best of my knowledge the term has been fairly well set in stone to mean five groups of unstressed syllables followed by stressed syllables per line.
Yeah, but I do it better.
